Remember that little bit of swatching I posted a few weeks back? Well, it’s a lot more than just a swatch now. It’s a full on hat. Meet Imogene:
The styles of the 1920’s were a big inspiration in creating this piece, and I think that came through really well–even my other half (with no prompting!) said “it looks a bit 1920s”.
The hat features two large color blocks, created through the use of short rows:
A layered look is then achieved through the use of applied i-cord, and everything gets finished off with a tidy little bow:
The pattern will be available for purchase this Thursday (November 16th). As always, I’ll be sending out an announcement with a personalized discount code through my mailing list, so if this hat catches your fancy, be sure to sign up!
Also, I would be remiss if I failed to give a shoutout to my awesome photographer for this piece, Lisa J Ellis of FocusLight Photography. Didn’t she do an AWESOME job? If you’re looking to have some photos taken anytime soon (or just want to look and some great pictures), you should totally check her out.
