My latest progress photo:
Two sleeves of this latest Samantha, on a spare needle and waiting to be joined up with the body. And the second sleeve makes project #2 of my 50 crafts in 50 weeks project.
I’m excited to be doing a reknit of this pattern because it’s providing the perfect opportunity to make a few improvements. One thing that’s getting a do-over is the edgings:
One of the things I wanted in this sweater was an edging that would blend well with the lace insets, which rules out typical options like several inches of ribbing, seed, or garter stitch. I think this new picot look fits the bill perfectly. It also combats the possibility of a rolling edge extremely effectively. I’m in love!
