Stitch’n’Bitch Superstar Knitting: arrived!

A while back, I got a nice little email from Debbie Stoller asking if I’d like to contribute a pattern to her newest book, Stitch’n’Bitch Superstar Knitting. Needless to say, it did not take me long to respond to that email!

This book was a while in the makings, but it’s finally out!

S'n'B advanced cover

I was thrilled to receive my copy in the mail yesterday afternoon. My pattern is on page 328:
S'n'B Beatrice

For the book, I made a special version of my Beatrice gloves, using a slightly heavier yarn than the original Beatrice. The gloves are (in my opinion) lovely at either gauge.

The other patterns (41!) in the book look fantastic also, I am especially loving the section of stranded patterns, a pair of cabled thigh-high socks, and pretty much everything else. There is (as always) a ton of useful information (over 100 pages before the patterns begin!). This book covers some slightly more advanced techniques than the previous S’n’B books, like lace, cables, stranded knitting, and intarsia. There is also a handy section on design which I’m guessing a lot of people will find useful if they want to customize a pattern to their unique body shape.

I’m incredibly excited to finally see the book out and about, and it’s a total honor to be included in with such a great group of designers!
