Beatrice takes one for the team.

As I’ve mentioned on here before, I bike to school pretty much daily. Last week I was biking in, on the bike path, when a pedestrian appeared out of nowhere. In my effort to avoid her (which really only half worked), I took a serious tumble to the pavement. And naturally, I threw out a hand to stop my fall. A gloved hand. It must have scraped on a particularly abrasive portion of bike path, because when I got up, my glove looked like this:

My hand, however, had barely a scratch, so at least some good came of it. I think I might try to fix this by picking up stitches, knitting in a few rows, and grafting. I have no idea how it will work, but it seems like potentially less trouble than knitting an entire new glove. We’ll see.
